Celebrating 6 Years of the MSC Foundation

As we mark the 6th anniversary of the MSC Foundation, we’re reflecting on our journey and achievements with immense gratitude. Founded with the aim of acting decisively today to build a better tomorrow, our mission has always been ambitious: "to restore the critical balance between people and nature within a generation." So, the MSC Foundation has always been sharply focused on helping protect and nurture our beautiful Blue Planet and its people, leveraging MSC's global reach and unique knowledge of the sea.

Over the past six years, we’ve expanded our activities significantly, launching and advancing impactful initiatives all over the world. To date, we have run 21 programmes, worked with 16 brilliant partners and touched the lives of 2.3 million people in 58 countries.

In addition to our ongoing programmes, we have continually provided prompt emergency relief and rebuilding assistance, completing 64 operations worldwide, often in the remotest areas.

Our journey has been driven by a clear vision and tireless dedication. We are deeply grateful for the support of our partners, volunteers and the communities we serve. Together, we have made a difference. But there is still much to do.

As we look to the future, we are ever more resolutely committed to our mission. We will continue to innovate, join forces in partnership and expand our efforts to restore the critical balance between people and nature.
